There is the old adage … if it tastes bad it must be good for you. Not sure about your house but in mine this does not work. If it tastes bad then no chance is it going to be ingested by kids or Mum alike. Medicine can be delicious as well as efficacious.
So sometimes it is just better to hide the medicine.
This smoothie is a good example. The kids thought we were having another amazing delicious smoothie. They had no idea what was jammed in it. In all fairness if I had of read the recipe to them there would have been no objections. But the up shot was that it tasted amazing and thanks to the raspberries had great colour!
Digestive Smoothieserves 1
100mL rice milk
100mL filtered water
1 Tablespoon organic brown rice protein powder choc or van
2 teaspoons slippery elm powder
2 handfuls frozen raspberries
2 teaspoon organic apple cider vinegar
1 handful baby spinach leaves
1 Tablespoon chia seeds
The longer it sits the thicker it gets. 🙂
Can use any type of greens … instead of baby spinach try lettuce or silverbeet.
